ABSENTEE VOTING INFORMATION

In-person absentee voting is now available at local election authorites for eligible voters in Missouri. Reasons for requesting an absentee ballot include being absent from the jurisdiction on Election Day, expect to be confined due to illness or disability or religious belief. A new reason for 2020 only opens up absentee voting for voters who are over 65 or in an at-risk category for COVID-19.

St. Louis City has four satellite voting sites thsi year. The Buder, Schlafly, Central, and Julia Davis libraries are open for in-person absentee voting 11 am to 5pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, and 1 to 7 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Voters using new "mail-in ballots" must have the ballot envelope notarized and can only return them by mail. Free notary services are available Monday through Friday 9:30 to 3:30 and 10 to 3 on Saturdays at the League office at 8706 Manchester Rd., Suite 104. Click here for other sites.

Absentee ballots can be mailed or turned in at voting sites. If it's too late to mail a ballot, you can ask for it to be spoiled at your polling place and vote in person. If you never received a ballot, you can vote in person after you complete a Lost Ballot Affidavit.

Contact your local election authority to check if your ballot was received or if you have any questions. Thanks to new voting equipment, voters in St. Louis County can vote at any polling place on Nov. 3.
